MTA THREATEN STRIKE IN NYC

THE MTA UNION is threatening a strike in NYC even though such a strike is against state law and provides for hefty fines if they walk off the job en mass.

"City officials planned to return to court Wednesday to put more legal pressure on subway and bus workers preparing to strike and bring the nation's largest public transit system to a halt."

President Reagan knew how to deal with striking public employees. I would suggest that the MTA do the same. If they walk out they have broken state law-fire them and hire some people that want to work. I reckon it will be a lot easier to replace a toll token agent than it was to replace an air traffic controller.
